Born in 1957 in Paris, Guillaume COMMON, grew up and studied in Le Havre, where he started the pottery in 1974.

At 19 years old, he started as a professional potter in lower Normandy, Domfront’s region (61), then Rouen (76).

In 1988, he was awarded by the first prize in the “salon des artisans d’art de Paris” and settled in the Alpes de Haute Provence (04) in St-Michel l’observatoire, where he restored a traditional Provencal farmhouse.

Passionate, Guillaume explored all sides of potter’s job: stoneware, earthenware, porcelain, raku, shaping, turning, casting, stamping, sculpture, Colombin.

He developed high-fire and low-fire glazes. he built himself his eight ovens. he built himself his eight ovens.

Since 2004, he devoted himself entirely to the crystalline glazes.

He is also passionate about travel and the restoration of classic cars & motorcycles.
